She led Architype Scotland’s growth from 3 to 30 staff. Recognised with AJ’s 40 under 40 (2020) and Sustainability Champion (2023), she is a research-led practitioner, Coaction CIC trainer, university external examiner, and Environmental Unit Convenor at the University of Bath since 2013.

Sofia developed an appreciation for Roman and Ancient Greek literature during her early education in Italy. She moved to Sheffield in 2016 to study Architectural Technology and quickly fell in love with the city. Passionate about architecture, she is especially fascinated by how materials interact in construction.
Since joining HLM in 2021, Sofia has played a key role in developing standardisation strategies, including a digital kit of parts for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Her expertise spans offsite products, housing supply chains, and DfMA processes. She excels in data analysis and visual communication, supporting evidence-based decisions in early project stages.
